A better result last night with the Dogs producing a big second half to take care of the Knights 36-16. Ponga and Griffin out injured makes the Knights season basically over after Pearce going down earlier in the season.
It was a bad start to the round with the Dragons coming out very slow, still eking out a win with the Eels grasping defeat at the claws of victory. But clearly I wasn’t going to win the Dragons -9.5 bet with a Mannah breakaway (and a forward pass) to get things rolling for the Eels in the first half.
The Warriors v Sharks game was much the same, a few dubious decisions and the game could have gone either way even though the Sharks were the better side overall on the night.
Tonight I need to get the win to square up the round with my betting. So the Bunnies are taking their home game up to Cairns which will make this a Cowboys strong crowd and favouring weather conditions. The Bunnies have a lot of players backing up from Rep Round but enjoy a full week of rest between these games. The Cowboys were so close last matchup and are undervalued considering their weak start to the competition.
So I’m taking the Cowboys with the points in this one.
