Episode 116 is out now! Ayden (@OnPointAyden) and Carl (@onpointcarl) have re-watched a large chunk of esteemed director, Martin Scorsese’s films. Scorsese has been lumped into a particular typecast of director, namely that of mafia movies . But Ayden and Carl disagree, going through the films they rediscover how Scorsese has the skill to direct many different genres and explore different topics (even though certain traits reign throughout). They then put together their personal rankings to see where each film ends up in a consensus ranking, talking each film in succession.
This is the fourth podcast partaking in ranking a particular director’s films, previously ranking Tarantino, Nolan and Fincher.
