Ayden gets into his all time favourite Hip Hop albums now that we are into the Top 20. And a great mix of Hip Hop at that, from Wu-Tang to Kanye to NWA. Slipknot being the only non Hip Hop album between 11 & 20 for him.
Whereas I included a lot of Rock, from Tool to Pink Floyd to Jimi Hendrix. Eminem’s Marshall Mathers LP being the only Hip Hop record to make it into my 11-20 ranked albums.
AYDEN’s Top 50
19. 2Pac – All Eyez On Me
This album was released after 2Pac was bailed out of prison and you can hear the hunger on these tracks. For a double album, there is very little filler. Picture Me Rollin’ is a total banger pic.twitter.com/aHTNZeTjKd

17. Wu-Tang Clan – Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
Normally I’m a west coast > east coast guy when it comes to production but shit, this has some of the greatest production of all-time. Not to mention several classic rap tracks. CREAM get the money, dollar dollar bill y’all pic.twitter.com/jRsusE6XIF

15. N.W.A. – Straight Outta Compton
Admittedly I, a 30+ year old white guy, has gotten some strange looks when bumping this album in my car but I don’t care. This was essentially the birth of Gangsta Rap and every track contains such venom and angst…a true classic pic.twitter.com/o9vLI4Cfzo

13. Slipknot – Slipknot
Hell fucking yeah! This album was introduced to me by my mate in high school and was my first taste of “heavy” metal, and I fucking loved it. I like all of Slipknots albums but none as much as this one. pic.twitter.com/pOPrVpTwJN

11. Outkast – Stankonia
After hearing Ms Jackson, I dug around into Outkasts discography and what I found was two amazing rappers (Andre is top 5 for me) and a collection of bangers and thought-provoking music. They have all great albums but this is my personal favourite pic.twitter.com/oHEIY5KotO

CARL’s Top 50
19. Offspring: Smash
90s punk in all of it’s glory. Smash lives up to the title, kicking ass throughout. In true punk style the songs are short & to the point but the album ends with the big title track. pic.twitter.com/AN0teHCMWN

17. Eminem: Marshall Mathers LP
Eminem followed up Slim Shady with an absolute banger. Stan was a massive hit but the non singles made this album so good. Still one of the best selling albums of all time. pic.twitter.com/Fhupy7imBo

15. Doors: LA Woman
Raw Blues, music that moves your soul. Damn I wish I could have been Jim Morrison. Love Her Madly, Texas Radio, Riders, LA Woman, Been Down So Long, Crawlin King Snake, what an album. pic.twitter.com/G4aLqgwB7t

13. Tool: Ænima
I have heard so many versions of “46 & 2” that are so great. It shows musicians of many genres respect the shit out of Tool. You sort of feel cool but nerdy at the same time being a Tool fan, but who gives a shit they are awesome. pic.twitter.com/p2pfZXa7Mb

11. Metallica: …And Justice For All
Metallica’s first album since Burton’s death with Newsted joining the sound would be different. And it was in a great way, not better but different. Epic songs like One make this album so good. pic.twitter.com/iIxqTx4IQh
